Route from Montréal

Montréal → Toronto

The longest domestic trip. It can be done in one go, but it needs planning — this is not a day trip.

Request a quote
The CN Tower and the Toronto skyline, seen from the shore of Lake Ontario.
Distance
About 540 km along Autoroute 20, then Ontario’s Highway 401.
Estimated duration
About five and a half hours of driving, not counting stops. With breaks, allow a full day each way.

What you see on the way

Kingston and its limestone buildings, the Thousand Islands, the Lake Ontario shore. The 401 is no scenic highway, but the detours are worth it if you have the time.

Once you are there

The CN Tower, the waterfront, the downtown neighbourhoods. The driver stays available for your trips during the stay, if you want.

Why rather than flying

For four people with luggage, counting the transfers to both airports and the waiting, the time difference narrows a lot. And you leave when you want.

Before you set off

  • A trip this long needs booking well ahead: it ties up a vehicle and a driver for several days.
  • The itinerary, the stops and the driver’s accommodation are agreed before departure and appear in the quote.
