What we do with your information.

What we receive, what it is used for, how long we keep it, and what you can require of us.

Last updated: 18 October 2026

  1. 1. Our commitment to your privacy

    TractoPlus is a private driver and personal companion service based in the Montréal area, Québec.

    We undertake to collect only the information needed to answer your requests, plan your trips and provide a service shaped around you.

    This policy explains how we collect, use, protect and keep your personal information.

  2. 2. Personal information collected

    When you contact us or request a quote, we may receive:

    • your first and last name;
    • your phone number;
    • your email address, if you provide it;
    • the date and time you would like to travel;
    • the pickup and destination points;
    • the number of passengers and bags;
    • any particular need, child seats in particular;
    • any further information you choose to send us.

    We encourage you not to send sensitive information that your request does not call for.

  3. 3. How the request form works

    The quote request form sends nothing to a server and stores nothing in a database. There is no database.

    What you type stays in your browser and goes into a message you can then send by WhatsApp or email. It reaches us only when you choose to send it yourself.

    Filling in the form is therefore neither a booking nor an automatic transfer of your information.

  4. 4. How the information is used

    We use the information we receive only to:

    • answer your questions;
    • prepare a quote;
    • check availability;
    • arrange and confirm a trip;
    • communicate with you about your request and follow up on it;
    • meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations;
    • handle a complaint or dispute, where one arises.

    We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties, and we do not use it to send you marketing messages outside the applicable consent rules.

  5. 5. WhatsApp, phone and email

    When you write by WhatsApp, your messages are also subject to the privacy practices of WhatsApp, a Meta service, which we do not control.

    If you would rather not use WhatsApp, phone and email remain available.

  6. 6. Cookies and tracking technologies

    As currently configured, this site uses no:

    • advertising pixels;
    • marketing tracking cookies;
    • profiling tools;
    • behavioural analytics;
    • personalised advertising services.

    Some technical processing may nonetheless be necessary for the site to work, or be carried out by its host.

    If analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies were added later, this policy would be updated and the required consent mechanisms put in place before they went live.

  7. 7. Sharing personal information

    We do not share your information for resale or advertising. Some may nonetheless be passed on, where necessary, to:

    • the driver assigned to your trip;
    • a technical or communications service provider;
    • an accounting services provider;
    • a public authority, where the law requires it.

    We limit what is shared to what the purpose in question requires.

    Some technology providers may process or host information outside Québec or Canada. Such cases are subject to the checks and assessments required by law.

  8. 8. How long information is kept

    We keep personal information for as long as the purposes it was collected for require, subject to our legal obligations.

    Accounting and tax records are kept for the periods the law requires.

    Once the information is no longer needed, it is securely destroyed or anonymised in accordance with the legal requirements.

  9. 9. Security of the information

    We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against:

    • unauthorised access;
    • accidental disclosure;
    • loss;
    • misuse;
    • unauthorised alteration.

    These steps include securing the communication accounts, limiting access and using appropriate authentication.

    Despite these precautions, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed entirely free of risk.

  10. 10. Your rights

    Under the laws that apply in Québec, you may in particular:

    • ask for access to the personal information we hold about you;
    • ask for inaccurate or incomplete information to be corrected;
    • withdraw your consent where the law allows;
    • ask that certain information stop being disseminated, where the legal conditions are met;
    • ask for information to be deleted where the law allows;
    • exercise the portability rights that apply to certain computerised personal information.

    Some requests may be limited by legal obligations, record-keeping in particular. To exercise your rights, write to us using the contact details given on this site.

  11. 11. Privacy incidents

    If a privacy incident involving personal information occurs, we take the steps needed to assess the situation, limit its consequences and prevent it happening again.

    Where the law requires it, the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec are notified. A register of privacy incidents is kept in accordance with the applicable requirements.

  12. 12. Children’s information

    Our services are aimed at adults arranging their own travel or their family’s. We do not seek to collect personal information directly from children.

    Information needed to carry children, child-seat needs in particular, must be provided by a parent or an authorised adult.

  13. 13. Links to outside services

    This site contains links to outside services, WhatsApp in particular. Those services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read before sending them personal information.

  14. 14. Privacy officer

    For any question about this policy or about how your personal information is handled, write to us using the contact details given on this site. TractoPlus is based in Montréal, Québec.

    Absent an express designation, the law places this responsibility on the person with the highest authority in the enterprise. The name and contact details of the designated officer will be published before commercial launch.

    We may change this policy to reflect how our services, our tools or our legal obligations evolve. The most recent version is published on this site, with its date.
